A large scale renovation that doubled the square footage of the home to almost 15,000 sq ft, the brief for this project was to create a space that felt collected, had a sense of history with an updated take on traditional English country style, and successfully married the new portion of the home with the old. The home needed to function as a warm, family-friendly home as well as a space conducive to entertaining. We focused on selecting classic, timeless pieces that upheld the design mandate and would have longevity. Layering of materials for interest throughout was important both in the construction materials and in the furnishings. The home has a feel of relaxed elegance and the details throughout all give a nod to that English/European style that the clients love.
