A modern new build perched on the hill overlooking Kelowna, BC, Kerrisdale Design took its cue from the architecture when it came to furnishing the home. Always striving to layer in warmth and texture even in a modern environment, special care was taken to ensure the space felt inviting and cozy rather than stark. Natural fiber rugs in geometric patterns are layered with tailored modern upholstery in velvets and linens. The palette is purposely neutral and light, keeping the focus on the dramatic dark-framed windows and the view beyond. Black was used as an accent to create drama and focal points, and touches of brass add sheen and elevate the space
