We work with clients to define a vision for their custom home. Documenting requirements and creating visuals to illustrate all the details related to the exterior and interior of the home, we are responsible for directing the architect and ensuring the plans reflect the clients goals and the designers vision. We guide the client through decision making, explain options, and advise throughout the plan revision process.

We further expand on the design vision and concepts, sourcing products and materials that will translate it into reality. The Fixtures & Finishes package specifies every detail required for the construction of the space. Throughout the process we work with the client, contractor, and trades to ensure that the plan is implemented successfully.
Floor plans, lighting plans, drawings, and samples are utilized to communicate the concept and plan to the client for review and discussion.
A finalized Fixtures & Finishes package is provided to the contractor and necessary trades for implementation. This includes drawings, finish boards and a detailed specification sheet that defines selections room by room.
The final layer that completes the interior design vision. Designs are created for each room to reflect both their occupants as well as to be an extension of the architectural style of the home. Furniture, rugs, lighting, art, accessories, and textiles are sourced, and designs are presented to the client for approval. All budget management, purchasing, and tracking of orders is handled by Kerrisdale Design. This stage culminates with a complete installation of the furnishings and décor; the design team on hand to ensure every detail is just right.
Creation of landscaping design to complete the full architectural design vision. This includes documentation of plans for landscapers and contractor.
While we do our best to incorporate heirlooms and antiques into your design if they are compatible with the layout of the space and your design aesthetic, we cannot guarantee the inclusion of your existing pieces.
Can you work with existing furniture and decor, or is it neccessary to start from scratch?
We are fortunate to have relationships with so many talented vendors and we love incorporating custom and one-of-a-kind pieces to make every design unique. These relationships require a time and financial commitment, and it is our policy to price our products so they are competitive with retail

We love to be involved in the selection of a builder, architect, trade or craftsperson for your project. We have built relationships with many skilled people in the industry over the years, and are happy to make recommendations to our clients.

A typical furnishing project takes about 16-24 weeks from start to finish, and a renovation or build project can take a year or more. We recommend securing a designer 6-8 months in advance of any upcoming deadlines.
How much time does a project take?
Our fees vary by project which is why we spend the time at the outset to understand the scope of the project and be able to provide a detailed fee proposal.
Construction packages are usually a fixed fee ranging from $5-10 per square foot. Interior Design projects usually start at $4 per square foot.
